MPS200 reverse osmosis cleaning agent is a low-pH liquid formulation designed to remove metal oxides, calcium carbonate, and other types of scale. It is specifically used for cleaning scale on reverse osmosis (RO) membranes and nanofiltration (NF) membranes, and it is also highly effective in removing iron scale. Excellent cleaning performance can extend the membrane's operational time. It can be used for reverse osmosis membranes and TFC membranes from Dow Chemical (Dow Filmtec), Hydranautics, and domestic manufacturers, as well as nanofiltration membrane elements.

Usage Instructions for MPS200 Reverse Osmosis Cleaning Agent

Prepare a 4% (by weight) cleaning solution using reverse osmosis permeate or desalinated water, or add 1 kg of MPS200 reverse osmosis cleaning agent to every 25 kg of water. Adjust the pH to 3.0 ± 0.5.

The cleaning time depends on the amount of fouling and is typically completed within 1 to 2 hours. If the pH value exceeds 4 during the cleaning process, it indicates that the cleaning solution is nearly depleted and should be replenished or replaced immediately.

After use, neutralize the MPS200 cleaning agent with alkali before discharging it.

Before putting the system back into operation, the operator must rinse the membrane surface to ensure all residues of the cleaning solution are completely removed. This can be monitored by checking the pH of the concentrate water until it matches the pH of the feed water.
